Mrs. MAK Monika – EXECUTIVE Director

Mrs. Monika has been involved in disability field since 1999 as a showroom coordinator of the produce make by silk for people with disability with textile and hand weaving, with a thorough examination and improve the quality of the products to the international level. Through her experience with showroom, she believes that the needs of people with disabilities are greater than just income production so she has joined other disability sector to provide opportunities for people with disabilities to receive services align the scheme “no leave one behind” that’s why in 2001, he has expanded her potential in disability field as a program coordinator by providing counseling to people with disability of type/sex with disability, provide life skill perspective and facilitating the provision of referral services to people with disabilities throughout the country such as: employment, health, education and other services. In 2015, she began working with CDPO as an advocacy Officer and Program Manager. In 2020 she when through an interviewers as Executive Director until now, she completed her Master of Management in 2022. She has brought the achievements of the disability movement on an international level to promote the rights of people with disability in Cambodia. Under her leadership, CDPO has significantly strengthened the capacity of 77 Organizations of People with Disabilities-OPDs and Women and Children Forum. Currently, she is pushing for amendments to the Law on the protection and Promotion of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and other legal documents to promote the dissemination and implementation in accordance with specific needs of People with Disabilities, especially the outbreak of COVID-19. It’s noteworthy that people with disabilities have recently received disability identification, driven licenses, IDPoor, driver’s licenses, cash transfer from government during COVID-19 and other supported.
As a member of ASEN of The ASEAN Disability Forum (ADF), International Disability Alliance (IDA) and Disabled Peoples International (DPI), she contributed and leads the disability movement representing countries and it highly committed to working together toward the promotion of dignity, equal rights and social welfare through the dissemination and implementation of ASEAN Enabling Masterplan 2025: Mainstreaming the Rights of Persons with Disabilities “Inclusive Society”

Mr. VONG MONEA – Finance and Administrative Manager

Mr. Monea has nineteen years of work experience in the business and social development sector. He has participated in developing the disability movement in Cambodia through working with CDPO since 2007. He contributes to the disability movement in Cambodia through his roles and responsibilities for the position of Finance and Administrative Manager. He provides training and coaching on financial and accounting management, procurement management, grant management, administrative and human resource management to his colleagues. He also supervises Grant Finance Officer to train and coach Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) on bookkeeping. He holds a Bachelor Degree of Economic Development and a Master Degree of Finance and Banking. He is interested in working with CDPO since it provides him knowledge and participation in developing disability movement.

Mr. CHHOR Bunnaroath – Program Manager

Mr. Bonnaroath has 27-year experiences in the social development sector and a background in education, adult learning, human rights, women and children’s rights, good governance, advocacy as well as decentralization since 1994 and up to date. He has started working at CDPO in July 2010 and up to the present. He contributes to the disability movement in Cambodia through his work on taking care of the day-to-day management of Abilis Partnership Program, Disability and Health unit of GIZ project and the latest of Program Manager of CDPO in charge of program management and resource sourcing of CDPO to make sure all project implementation in plan are all set and achieved according to the objectives and goal. Before working with CDPO, he worked for Cambodian Institute of Human Rights (CIHR) as translator of English documents into Khmer language for three years, good governance coordinator for four years and project coordinator of commune clerk training for one year. Then, he had been served for one year with National Election Committee as reporter. He also worked with Women for Prosperity (WFP), a local NGO for seven years as Project Coordinator to provide training to women of commune councils and technical support to CCWCs in the target areas of UNICEF. He graduated as a junior and a senior high school teacher. He is interested in working with CDPO because it provides him opportunities to show off his ability.

Mr. TOUCH Vuth – PROGRAM Coordinator, DPOs Development Program

Mr. Vuth has been serving as the Program Coordinator of CDPO since May, 2013. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Animal Health and Production from Royal University of Agriculture and a Master Degree in Agriculture and Rural Development Management. He has been involved with INGs/NGOs work since 1997 and disability work in 2012. He was used to work for World Vision Cambodia, Lutheran World Federation, Oxfam Australia and Cambodia Trust. He has been long term experiences in program development and management, training development and coordination, Integrated/holistic Community Development, and Human resource management. He has a high commitment and is working toward the protecting and promotion the rights of people with disability in Cambodia through his service with CDPO.  He has a dream to see UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and other national disability laws are implemented by stakeholders in response to the needs of persons with disabilities.

Mr. SREUN Thona – Human Resources and Administration Coordinator

Mr. Thona Joined the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organisation since 2014 as an Administrative and Human Resources Officer and was promoted to Human Resources and Administration Coordinator in 2020. In this role, he provides day-to-day operations related to human resource management and administration in the department of finance and administration. In the will and commitment to see the capacity of the staff, board and institution are strong and sustainable in the long run, he has been playing an important role in enhancing capacity building through internal and external training, initiating, monitoring and updating on Guidelines, Procedures and Policies, as well as assisting the Administration and Finance Manager in managing and coordinating the duties of human resources and administration in accordance with the guidelines, procedures and policies that have been in force.

Mr. PHOEUN Veasna – PROGRAM Assistant

Veasna has been serving as the Program Assist of CDPO since December, 2016. He holds a Bachelor Degree in English from Human Resources University. He has graduated Bachelor Degree in English since 2009. He has 4 year-experience in teaching English at Milky Way School. He contributes to the disability movement in Cambodia through taking part in monitoring and providing coaching to Disabled People’s Organizations (DPOs). He has a dream to build the “Capacity of Disabled People’s Organizations” which in 25 provinces could represent diverse disability groups and lead them to claim their rights and live a dignified life. and accountability which are part of CDPO’s values. Currently, she is improving the DPOs/WWDF’s financial reporting to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Mr. MEAN Vibol Ratanak – Project Coordinator

Mr. Mean Vibolratanak has been working as Intern for Voice of Person with Disability Radio since the July of 2014. After one year and half worked as Intern in VPD due to his experience related to his personality, He has a strong commitment and is using his knowledge and skills with CDPO working toward to promote of equal rights; He was promoted as Training Assistant. As experience on providing training 5 years in disability movement in Cambodia (CIP, Sexual Health and Reproductive Health (GIZ), inclusive WASH, Disability Inclusive Development Master Class (DFAT) and involving on international stage as representative of Cambodia. Year by years through his commitment and ability, he was promoted as Senior Project Office. He played a role in lobbying with relevant stakeholders and policy developers to include disability issue into development. We all are fighters, all of you here today and the future to move forward to leave no one behind and inclusive!

Mr. SAO Chorn – IT and Project Officer

Mr. Chorn has been working for the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organisation (CDPO) since July 2017 until now. Mr. Chorn graduated from BaccII in 2013 and went on to study at the University as well as Bachelor’s degree of Accounting in 2016 at Chea Sim Kamchay Mear University, Prey Veng Province and Bachelor’s degree of Information Technology in 2022 at Phnom Penh International University. Because of his disability and love of work in the field of disability and technology, he also joined the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organisation in charge of information technology, such as server management, Internet management, radio program coordination, support staff in all areas. And the program department, working with the project by providing training and disseminating programs launched by the government to OPDs and self-help groups in the provinces. He is interested in working with CDPO because it provides many opportunities for all staffs to build capacity in the field of disability.

Mr. KHAN Vuthy – Project Officer

Mr. Vuthy has 06-year experiences in the disability sector and a background in education, 2015-2020, Finished Studying Bachelor Degree Major of Law at Paññāsāstra University of Cambodia (PUC) and now studying Master Degree major of International Relation at Asia Euro University (AEU). In his background working experiences, October 2015-July 2017: Teaching English for Orienting Future of Children, October 2018-December 2018: Internship three months at Cambodia Disabled People Organization (Assistant Advocacy Internship), January 2019-April 2019: He worked at Cambodia Disabled People Organization (Assistant Advisor for VPD Radio), Now he is working at Cambodia Disabled People Organization (Project Officer).

Mr. VORN Chea – Project Officer

Mr. Chea has 2-year experiences in the disability sector and a background in education as IT (information Technology) at Norton University but he prefer working with disability sector and the social work. He has background as human rights more than five years before working with CDPO. He started working with CDPO at the end year 2021. He is now working at CDPO as project officer in ATscale project.

Ms. KHAN Savry – RADIO MC

Khan Savry has worked for CDPO since January 2014 As a Radio MC. She has been involved in the disability movement in Cambodia through her work in the project that promotes accessibility for persons with disabilities in electoral processes On Air throught Voice of Persons with Disabilities (VPD). She has a Bachelor Degree of Accounting from VANDA Institute and skills in facilitation of radio programs/TV talk show/events, doing research and data analysis, she contributes to CDPO achieving the goal of persons with disabilities participating more fully and equally and living the dignity in society and community.

Mr. LANG Hong – Project Officer

Mr. Lang Hong has been working as an intern at Cambodian Disabled People’s Organisation since July 2017. After working for a year and a half, I worked as an intern at the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization. Because of his experience related to his personality, he is highly committed and is using his strengths, knowledge and skills to work towards the promotion of equal rights. He evolved into a project assistant. Through experience in implementing activities and participating in 5 years of training in the disability movement in Cambodia, such as (training on inclusive into commune investment project, sexual and reproductive health for people with disabilities, Inclusive WASH and including participation in meetings with development partners and the national and sub-national governments, which represent the voice of people with disabilities in Cambodia. From year to year, through commitment and ability, he has evolved into a project officer. He has played a key role in working with stakeholders and policymakers to address disability issue. “Nothing about Us without Us”

Ms. BO Pisey – Accounting Officer

Ms. Bo Pisey has 2years experiences in the Finance and Banking for Accounting and Administration since 2018. She has started working at CDPO on 22nd February 2021 and up to present. She has bachelor’s degree in Accounting from VANDA Institute in 2021. And then she has started working with CDPO as a probationary staff in Project Account of GIZ have 03month until May 2021 that she become a CDPO’s staff. She is very interested in working with CDPO because it provides her opportunities to show off her ability.

Mr. THY Leang Hour – Project Assistant

Mr. Leang Hour is a project assistant who has worked for the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization since 2022 to the present. Mr. Leang Hour worked on the SIDA CSO Strengthening (CSID) project. This project promotes the rights of children, both disability and non-disabilty children, as well as LGBT children, so that they are courageous, free from social discrimination and that all children have equal rights. Not only as a project assistant, Mr. Leang Hour has also developed his capacity to contribute to the capacity of NGOs and the public by participating as assistants in disability training, which the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization has provided opportunities to increase their capacity in work in disability inclusion as well. “Leaving No One Behind”

Ms. CHHUON Sreychom – Project Assistant

Ms. Sreychom has been working for two years since 2017, she graduated from Vanda Institute, she volunteered for 6 months at the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization and became a full-time employee (Accounting Assistant) in 2017- 2019. She has 6 years of experience in the field of disability, document review and data collection. In 2018-2020, she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Vanda Institute. From 2019 to 2020, she joined the Procurement Department of the Cambodian Organization of Persons with Disabilities for one year, after which she became interested in working as a project data collector. She is currently working for the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization (UASID) in the United States Climate Change Response Project, taking into account USAID’s Disability Environment (Project Assistant).

Ms. HORN Thea – Procurement Assistant

Ms. Horn Thea has 3 months experiences at National Center for Infants and Children (NCIC) start working 28th February 2015 to 28th April 2015 and then 7years experiences in the Teacher at private school since 2015 . She has started working at private school on 19th June 2015 – 2021. She has bachelor’s degree in Sociology from National Institute of Social Affairs in 2017. And then she has started working with CDPO as a probationary staff in position procurement Assistant have 03month until October 2021 that she become a CDPO’s staff and up to present. She is very interested in working with CDPO because it provides her opportunities to show off her ability.

Mr. TIT Chhun, Radio Assistant

Mr. Chhun graduated from Hun Sen Samaki Daun Sar High School and Studying Bachelor degree of Accounting First Year at Chean Sim Kamchay Mear University.
He has working with CDPO since 2017 as a volunteer in advocacy program, and 2018, he worked the Cambodian Disabled People’s Organization in Assistant Voice of Persons with Disabilities and from 2019 to 2022, he has working for USAID on All Reading Cambodia. He is interested for working with CDPO as it provides many opportunities for all staff to build capacity in disability sector.
